We will begin our journey with pick-up at 9 in the morning to embark on a fascinating guided tour of the splendid citadel of Pachacamac. This site, revered as the sanctuary of the god Pachacamac, who according to ancient Andean belief was the creator of the universe, is an archaeological gem that immerses us in the deep history and spirituality of the region.
Pachacamac encompasses a vast expanse of temples, pyramids, and palaces, each with its own history and significance. Among the highlights are the majestic Temple of the Sun, which was a place of worship for the sun god, and the imposing Temple of Pachacamac, considered the main ceremonial center of the citadel. Additionally, we cannot overlook the Acllahuasi, also known as the Palace of the Virgins of the Sun, where women chosen as wives of the god were housed and worshiped.
The entire complex of Pachacamac is considered sacred and was a fundamental part of the mystical axis of the world for the ancient inhabitants of the region. Every structure and every corner is imbued with an energy and a history deeply rooted in Andean cosmology.
