Our City Tour 4 Ruins will begin with pick-up from hotels in downtown Cusco between 8:40 and 9:00, followed by a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo – Qorikancha. Here, you can discover the contrast between Inca culture and Catholicism. You will observe the impeccable Inca construction, as Qoricancha was a religious center with many deities inside, the main one being the Sun God (Inti).

After the visit, our group will take the tourist bus to head out of the city. Sacsayhuamán, a majestic Inca site, with its imposing and enigmatic monolithic stones weighing up to 200 tons. Your guide will offer an explanation of this phenomenal site, and you will have free time to explore the Sacsayhuamán fortress on your own.

From Sacsayhuamán to Q’enqo is a 5-minute bus ride, another Inca site with its fascinating Inca altars. Q’enqo was possibly a center for ceremonial purposes and the sacrifice of some camelids, although others mention that they embalmed their deceased on its inner altar. Of particular interest are its semicircular amphitheater and underground galleries.

We continue to Puca Pucará, a small Inca construction, a red fortress presumed to have been used as a watchtower. This fortress is composed of large walls, terraces, and staircases and was part of the defensive complex of Cusco in particular and the Inca Empire in general.

The last stop on our tour is Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to water worship. It is also known as the Inca royal baths, with its impressive water fountains. Tambomachay consists of a series of aqueducts, channels, and several waterfalls that flow over the rocks.

Then, we will drive back to Cusco, where the tour will end near the city center.
